Really liked the place great location. Just sometimes it would take a couple days to get a response before we got there on some things. Would book there again.

Great Location and Spacious Layout, But Needs MaintenanceWe have visited Blue Mountain Beach for 15 years and love this area. This home is a comfortable size, and the bunk room’s two twin and two queen beds were a wonderful surprise. The Sunday-to-Sunday availability was also perfect for the July 4th holiday week.While the location is ideal, the property has maintenance challenges. To echo a prior review, we encountered several recurring issues the owners should address:Kitchen: Only 6 forks and limited serving bowls make preparing/serving group meals difficult. There is no functional full-size grill, though the owner provided a small charcoal one upon request.AC & Appliances: The dryer initially failed to turn on (fixed during our stay), and the AC struggled to cool and was leaking in the supply closet, which a contractor couldn’t fully resolve.Upkeep: The upstairs tub was clogged with glass debris from a broken shower door, which we had to clean out. Several cabinets have broken doors, couches are now slipcovered, and a non-functional golf cart blocks the driveway. The provided beach gear was also broken or rusty.The owners were responsive, though we had to ask for checkout instructions. Ultimately, they were very reasonable and compensated us for these inconveniences. With proper maintenance, this would be a 5-star rental.

We had a wonderful time staying here. We love this area. The location is perfect. Positives: The house is beautiful. The neighborhood is great. Beach is only a 10 min walk. Our family loved the kayak & body board, beach chairs & toys. I also love the sound machine by the master bed. We slept to thunder sounds each night. It is spacious & cozy. We loved that we could bring our yorkies. We kept them crated at night and when we weren’t there. There are a few things that could’ve been better. The dishwasher did not always work, one burner on the stove did not work, 2 sink drains were clogged (downstairs guest bathroom & the first sink in the master bathroom). The upstairs shower with tub did not drain & would fill up when showering. There is a soft spot in the kitchen floor. The dryer didn’t want to work. When we arrived there were wet sheets in the washing machine. The property sleeps 12 but there were only maybe 4-5 forks. We have food allergies so we do a lot of preparing our own foods. The lack of eating utensils & dishwasher not always functioning were an inconvenience. Every place we have stayed in the past has had better communication. We have always been emailed a list of things to do at check in and check out. We didn’t receive communications like this so we just had to guess. Upon leaving we put our sheets & towels in the laundry room, turned on the dishwasher. If there was supposed to be more instructions we were not given them. Overall we had a great time.
